Melissa George joins Mosquito Coast

Melissa George has been cast in Mosquito Coast, a series adaptation of the novel which became a 1986 film starring Harrison Ford.

The series will star Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, Alias) for Apple TV+.

Justin’s uncle Paul Theroux wrote the novel which follows an idealistic inventor named Allie (Theroux) as he uproots his family and takes them to the jungles of Central America to start a new life.

George will play Allie’s wife Margot.

The cast also includes newcomer Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman.

Co-writer Neil Cross (Luther) will serve as showrunner and Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) will direct.
