Minister for Communications to address producers

Paul Fletcher will make his first speech at the Screen Forever Conference this week in Melbourne.

Paul Fletcher Minister for Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts will make his first speech at the Screen Forever Conference this week in Melbourne.

He will speak at the official Welcome at 1pm on Tuesday.

“I’m pleased to be speaking at Screen Forever in recognition of the importance of Australia’s screen industry, both culturally and economically,” he said.

“The stories we share on screen contribute to our sense of identity and national pride, and help connect us with one another and the rest of the world. The industry also supports many local jobs for skilled creatives. I look forward to the conference being highly productive and useful in shaping the future of Australia’s screen industry.”

Also speaking at the Welcome is Caroline Pitcher (CEO, Film Victoria), Matthew Deaner (CEO, Screen Producers Australia) and Ian Robertson AO (President, Film Victoria).
