Red carpet for John Travolta

As Foxtel launches a John Travolta pop-up movie channel, he told guests his personal favourite.

Foxtel rolled out the red carpet for Hollywood superstar John Travolta last night at Bar M in Rushcutter’s Bay, Sydney.

Leading the launch of Foxtel Movies and new FOX-branded channels was CEO Patrick Delany, joined by Director of Television Brian Walsh and Chief Commercial Officer Amanda Laing.

In attendance were Australian actors Damon Herriman (Mr. Inbetween, Lambs of God) Liana Cornell (Britannia) and David Berry (Outlander).

Renee Bargh, who got her start on Channel [V] told Travolta he was her first interview in her current presenting role for Extra in the US.

Foxtel will launch a John Travolta pop-up movie channel over the next three days including Saturday Night Fever, Pulp Fiction, Face/Off, Primary Colors, The Taking of Pelham, 1, 2, 3 and the move he described as his favourite, Grease.

“It led me to one of the most special friends I’ve ever had, which is Olivia Newton-John. But I’d have to choose that just because of history itself. If it’s led to this, it will lead to future generations,” he said.

  1. So Renee’s left Extra? She was on that show for quite a few years. Whatever happened to Extra? It was on 9 but just disappeared without any explanation a few weeks ago. Is it ever coming back?
