Renewed: RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

"This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent" says RuPaul.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has been renewed for a second season to air in 2020.

“I want to thank the BBC and all our fans for their overwhelming support of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent and I want to see more! Here’s to another season of love, laughter and light!” said RuPaul.

Fiona Campbell, Controller BBC Three, says: “I’m delighted that BBC Three will be the home for series two of Drag Race UK. Every single queen for series one has brought something different to the table and I’ve loved watching and getting to know them. The show is a huge hit for us and we’re very much looking forward to unleashing another series for our audience to tuck into!”

It airs in Australia on Stan.

  1. The UK version (despite following the same format) has been refreshing. The season feels less fake and the girls more varied. Glad it’s coming back.
Hopefully an AU season isn’t to far away?!

    1. It’s in development at the moment, broadcaster hasn’t been confirmed, however it’s not RuPaul’s Drag Race Australia, but Drag Race Australia (in the vein of Drag Race Thailand and Drag Race Canada), which means likely a local host.
