Netflix last week gave The Witcher a second season renewal before the first has even debuted.

The fantasy series will begin production in London early in 2020, for a planned debut in 2021, according to Netflix. Like the first season, Season 2 will also consist of eight episodes.

The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotr as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri, who all return for S2.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

“I’m so thrilled that before fans have even seen our first season, we are able to confirm that we’ll be returning to The Continent again to continue telling the stories of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri,” Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said.

The series stars Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, Emma Appleton, Eamon Farren, Joey Batey, Lars Mikkelsen, Royce Pierreson, Maciej Musiał, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte, and Anna Shaffer.

S1 premieres on December 20.
