SA Press Club Awards 2019: winners

Network 10 were the big TV winners in South Australian journalism awards.

Network 10 were the big TV winners at the 2019 SA Press Club Awards on Friday.

10 News First won Best Television News Camera and tied with Seven for Best Television News Report.

10 journalist Kate Somers was awarded Best Television News Report for her coverage of the arrest of an organised gang of shoplifters at Adelaide’s Burnside Village. Cameraman Matt Bonser was recognised for images of the new tourism enterprises around Uluru since the climb’s closure.

Adelaide’s 10 News First Executive Editor, Fiona Clark said: “The 10 News First entries recognised this year by the South Australian Press Club represent hard work, innovation and improvisation. They also represent the attitude displayed by the staff in the Adelaide newsroom year-round, and I could not be more proud.”
