Safe Harbour wins International Emmy Award

Matchbox Pictures drama made for SBS takes out Best Miniseries in New York event.

SBS drama Safe Harbour has won an International Emmy Award.

The series produced by Matchbox Pictures took out the Miniseries category defeating entries from Hungary, India & Brazil.

The series starred Ewen Leslie, Leanna Walsman, Jacqueline McKenzie, Hazem Shammas, and Joel Jackson.

The award was accepted by producer Stephen Corvini, who told TV Tonight, “The International Emmys attracts the best of the best dramas from around the globe and to win amongst so many outstanding peers is an absolute honour and a testament to Safe Harbour’s ability to connect with audiences internationally”.

Ronny Chieng hosted the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York.
