Seven claws back in ratings week but Nine holds by 0.1%

Ratings: It was a big comeback after a drubbing from The Block finale, but it was a knife-edge finish.

Last week Nine kicked things off with a whopping Sunday share from The Block finale and 60 Minutes -but full credit to Seven which clawed back share to come within just 0.1% of a win.

And that’s despite a lift from 10’s Bachelorette too.

Nine won the demos 16-39 and 25-54.

Seven won Monday – Saturday. Nine led on Sunday while ABC bettered 10 on Sunday, Friday & Saturday.

Nine won in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. Seven claimed Adelaide & Perth.

Best brands last week were:

Nine: The Block (Winner announced: 1.92m), 60 Minutes (896,000), Nine News (Sun: 860,000) and A Current Affair (645,000).

Seven: Seven News (Sun: 953,000), Bride & Prejudice (Tues: 605,000), Home and Away (563,000) and The Chase (522,000).

10: The Bachelorette (Final Decision: 1.1m), Have You Been Paying Attention? (754,000), The Amazing Race Australia (Mon: 651,000) and The Project (7pm: 435,000).

ABC: Gruen (651,000), ABC News (Sun: 649,000), Australian Story (647,000) and Four Corners (564,000).

SBS: Insight (232,000), Scotland from the Sky (231,000), Tony Robinson’s World by Rail (224,000) and 24 Hours in Emergency (217,000).

Including this week, there are just two more weeks of ratings.
