AACTA Awards, extended on Foxtel.

Foxtel Arts tonight will screen an extended broadcast of the AACTA Awards, which will include the following  presentations:

Best Direction in a Television Drama or Comedy
Best Cinematography in Television
Best Original Score in Television
Best Sound in Television
Best Costume Design in Television
Best Production Design in Television
Subscription Television Award for Best Male Presenter

Best Sports Coverage
Best Hair and Make-up
Best Sound in a Documentary

An electric performance from Jessica Mauboy and an In Memoriam piece featuring a performance by Luke Kennedy will also be included in the broadcast.

7:30pm tonight on Foxtel Arts (repeat broadcasts will air at 6:30pm on Sunday 8 December and 9:30pm on Wednesday 11 December).

  1. Still baffles me why Seven airs an edited version of the AACTA Awards, and has done so for a few years now. I guess, its good that Foxtel (Arts) has aired a full version. with proper repeats. The way it should be.

    Just noticed that 7two has “that edited version” at 12.30pm (in Syd) today. Will try watch some of it….

  2. Not sure why Seven couldn’t broadcast this extended (proper) version on Wednesday night? Imagine if the Oscars aired a very badly edited version on Oscar night, and then the full show aired 2 days later? It’d never happen. Don’t think think I can sit through this again, but I managed to watch the In Memoriam segment on YouTube, which was disappointingly omitted from Seven’s broadcast. Hope they get given more respect in 2020.
