Too many ads , too much talk & too many songs ..it is Carols. Some out of tune singers need to be better rehearsed or culled . Not the prestige Melbourne show it once was .
I forgot to add that it was very disappointing not seeing Marty Fields as “Santa”. I think he did an outstanding job, better than whoever it was this time.
Silvie is always a shining star! Loved Denis, Marina & David. But I muted some for the first time ever. There weren’t enough traditional carols or even “Amazing Grace”. And I do wish some of them would realise that carols are not meant to be jazzed up at all!
Sylvie Paladino… stunning… she continues to be the highlight each year.
Diana Rouvus, The Voice winner??? Didn’t she come like 6th in the first season, or am I thinking of someone else?
And then she won this year.
David Hobson did’nt even Perform at last years event due to Illness.
The Teskey Brothers. Awesome they are beautiful to listen to.
If it weren’t for “Nine’s beloved Carols family” I wouldn’t be watching it. Too many wanna be stars

In 1970, Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight was televised for the first time on Channel Ten. Channel 9 took over in 1979 and has continued to be a broadcast partner ever since.
Initially 3KZ. Nine actually televised it in 1956 but not again until Channel 0 in 1969. Nine resumed in 1979.
Vision Australia Radio will again be covering Carols, and providing an audio description of the event.
