Narelda Jacobs leaves 10 News Perth, joins Studio 10.
Narelda Jacobs leaves news anchor role in the West after 11 years, to relocate to Sydney.

Perth’s 10 News First presenter Narelda Jacobs is departing as anchor and relocating to Sydney where she will join the Studio 10 team.
She joins current presenters Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand, Angela Bishop, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Denise Drysdale and Natarsha Belling.
Jacobs joined 10 News in 2000, becoming anchor in 2008.
This year she also co-hosted the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras on SBS, which she will repeat in 2020.
“I cannot wait to join the Australian conversation every morning alongside my fabulous co-hosts. While approaching my 20th year with the network, I’ve felt the pull for new challenges, so bring on Studio 10 in 2020!” she said.
“This is a bittersweet move for me, over my time at 10 Perth I’ve been privileged to see just how strong the community spirit is in the West. Living alongside so many generous and talented people, makes it one of the best places on earth.”
10’s Network Director Of News Content, Ross Dagan, said: “Studio 10 has always valued a diversity of opinion and Narelda’s appointment will only add to the conversation. She’s an exceptional journalist and presenter, whose skills are a natural fit for morning television’s most dynamic team. We will miss her in Perth, but I know our WA viewers will welcome her still being part of their lives thanks to Studio 10.
She begins on Monday, January 13, 2020.
10 is yet to announce a new anchor for 10 News First in Perth.

Never heard of her. At least Denise Scott and Ita had a huge profile. Sounds like another dumb move for this confused show.
Great move for her, for her national profile and further career. Big loss for NEW10. I wonder if someone like Emmy Kubainski would be interested….

Forget Studio10 and bring back Ten Late a News with a Narelda at the desk. With the extension of the 5pm bulletin to 90mins and more rolling coverage of major events, 10 seems to be investing in news again.
Why do I see her popping up on the Project as well?
Narelda is a really solid news reader and whilst I’ll miss her on our screens here in Perth, wish her well on the national airwaves.
Just how many people are there on the Studio 10 panel? So many salaries for so few ratings.

If she wants it, Natalie Forrest would be an excellent new host for Ten News Perth, having done very well filling in when needed.
I was thinking maybe Chiara Zaffino or Beau Pearson.
Natalie Forrest will be a fantastic choice. Her years of experience is what they need to replace Narelda with. Chiara, just doesn’t have the presenting style IMO and I can’t watch when she’s filling in.
I think Lee Steele would be a great she has a friendly personality that viewers would warm too easily
Big loss for 10 News First in Perth now they’ve gone 90 minutes as well. Have no idea who’ll be considered as a replacement.
Narelda is great, beautiful inside and out. This is a big loss for Perth but i hope she does well over there. She will definitely bring some much needed diversity to the Studio 10 panel, being both indigenous and gay.
