Seven will again screen Melbourne’s New Year’s Eve celebrations this coming Tuesday night, to Victorian viewers.

Seven News presenters Jacqui Felgate and Blake Johnson will host culminating in the City of Melbourne fireworks.

In the countdown to the New Year, 7NEWS will cross live to reporters Melina Sarris, David Woiwood, Jodi Lee and Paul Dowsley at New Year’s Eve hot spots around Melbourne, bringing you all the colour and excitement of the big night as revellers prepare to farewell 2019.

Seven has cameras strategically placed around the City of Melbourne to give you the very best views of all the festivities, Lord Mayor Sally Capp will join the fun Live, and reporter Estelle Griepink will monitor social media so viewers can share their nights with us.

In the lead-up to midnight, 7NEWS will look back at the year in news, sport and weather. Then at the stroke of midnight, charge your glass and toast the arrival of 2020 as 7NEWS showcases Melbourne’s world-renowned fireworks display.

    “Felgate, Johnson, Sarris, Woiwood, Lee & Dowsley have all drawn the short straw and will be working hard to bring you the country’s second-best NYE fireworks display, captured from cameras placed in locations that were either free or negotiated with some contra. And while you’re flipping back to Seven during a lull in the ABC’s coverage of the Sydney fireworks, spare a thought for poor Estelle Griepink who will be spending NYE stuck in the office reading twitter.”
