  1. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman vs Joe Tessitore, Booger McFarlan. No contest. Joe and Troy for me.

Australia (AFL) is not alone in having commentators I can’t stand. 🙂

  2. Channel 7 for me too, ESPN’s Australian ‘special’ broadcast last year was terrible. They don’t get the full broadcast (replays, camera angles etc) either.
It’s like their SportsCenter ‘Australia’, best way to describe it is ‘lame’

  3. Yes, the comments are correct. Seven are taking the host broadcaster Fox (US) feed with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Mike Perera, Erin Andrews, Chris Myers as the commentary team.
ESPN is producing its own coverage for Australia and New Zealand using the Monday Night Football commentary team of Joe Tessitore, Booger McFarland, Lisa Salters. This will also be on Kayo.

I’ll be watching via NFL Gamepass as it has the Fox US feed including the US commercials and doesn’t have Seven trying to (messily) cover up the in-game commercials and promos. That said, I’m a fan of both commentary teams so I hope ESPN persist with their own commentary in future years so I can avoid CBS and NBC commentary teams!

Also, SEN radio in Melbourne has sent Gerard Whateley over to call the game again this year.

  4. I will be watching the Superbowl on Seven this year. For both teams, it has been a while since either team has played in the Superbowl: San Francisco I think was 2013, while the last time Kansas City Chiefs played was in the late 1960s at SuperBowl IV (back when we had black and white and way before Yours Truly was born).

  5. ESPN seem to be doing their over the top (2 meanings) coverage again this year and if seven are taking the US feed, it will be seven for me. Will check them both out through the course of the game though. Lets Go Mahomes.
