Nine has confirmed it will expand Footy Classified in 2019, following the demise of The Footy Show.
“We are going to be doing two versions this year,” Programming Director Hamish Turner told TV Tonight.
“I can’t give you any more details but we’re expanding the Footy Classified franchise.
“We won’t be doing a Footy Show on a Thursday.”
Nine is tipped to screen the second version on Wednesday nights, to avoid a head to head stoush with Seven’s Front Bar.
Last year the series featured Craig Hutchison, Caroline Wilson, Matthew Lloyd and Chris Judd.

They really need to get rid of Lloyd, Hutchinson and Judd. All too boring. They need Caroline Wilson to go up with Eddie Maguire. That would be dynamite TV. It has never been the same since Gary Lyon and Grant Thomas left.
Interesting! I wonder if the Monday night hosts will do the Wednesday show as well…
I’f say the Sunday footy show is safe, with recapping the games already played and a good panel. From memory that has better ratings than AFL gameday on 7 and is a far better show imo.
What about the Sunday Footy Show?
“We won’t be doing a Footy Show on a Thursday.”
Yes that is true. No Thursday Footy Show. That ended. But what about Sunday’s Footy Show?
The Sunday Footy Show continued in 2019 when the Thursday edition (of both AFL and NRL versions) got cancelled. So i assume that the Sunday editions will still continue in 2020.
Hutch and Judd dont have the charisma of Lyon or Roos, charisma is what tv panel shows need to thrive
