Michelle Bridges facing drink-driving charge

Former Biggest Loser trainer expresses "deep regret" and acknowledges an error of judgment.

Former Biggest Loser trainer Michelle Bridges was allegedly caught mid-range drink driving after being stopped at 11.25am on Sunday for a roadside random breath test.

On Sunday morning, NSW Police Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers directed Bridges to pull over her Range Rover SUV on New South Head Road in Bellevue Hill.

Police observed a five-year-old child was in the vehicle.

At Waverley Police Station Bridges underwent a breath analysis which allegedly returned a reading of .086.

Officers charged her with mid-range drink-driving.

Bridges has since issued a statement to the Daily Telegraph, revealing a split from partner Steve “Commando” Willis.

“I would like to express my deep regret for breaking the law, this was a terrible mistake and an error of judgment,” she said.

“This behaviour is inexcusable, and I am absolutely devastated and embarrassed to find myself in this position. It has been a very difficult time for me the last few weeks dealing with the break-up of my long-term relationship.

“This is by no means an excuse for my behaviour but I feel the emotional turmoil I have been going through has impacted my decision making. I am extremely sorry for my actions.”

Bridges is due to attend Waverley Local Court on February 18.
