Nine Melbourne boss resigns

"Right timing for our family," says GTV9 managing director Matt Scriven.

Nine Melbourne Managing Director Matt Scriven has resigned after two years in the role, citing family reasons.

Scriven (pictured top left) has 15 years with the company including 6 as Director of Sales, Melbourne.

In a note to staff he said, “This has been a time of great personal and professional growth, but has also been a considerable sacrifice and toll at a family level, with (wife) Nickie and I both operating in senior roles. The decision to step down from a role I love has not been an easy one to make, but it is the right one, and the right timing for our family.

“I am going to miss the amazing people that I have had the privilege of leading and working with over the years, but equally I am excited by the opportunity to pause, reassess and pursue other business interests; while ensuring our kids have the support they need through their teenage years.”

Nine is yet to announce a replacement.

Scriven departs on Friday 14th February.
