On Sunday ABC screens 2018 documentary Tea wth the Dames.

This delightful film invites you to spend time with screen icons Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith as they talk about their lives: their experience in theatre, TV, film and memories of times gone by.

9:30pm Sunday on ABC.

  1. I saw this film at the cinema, and whilst I absolutely adore Dame Maggie and Dame Judy, as well as the other two Dames, I wouldn’t describe the film as “edge of your seat” Lol. Even the Dames were clearly tired and somewhat bored with the endless cups of tea and chit chat. In fact Dame Joan Plowright actually went for a nap during filming, and then came back to the table for more endless chit chat. Some really lovely stories and anecdotes though, and lovely to see the real Dames out of character.
