CSI revival in development
Plans afoot for a limited series revival in time for show's 20th anniversary.

Early development of a CSI revival is underway with CBS.
The plan is apparently to release a limited series in time for the show’s 20th anniversary in October.
Variety reports original series creator Anthony Zuiker is in talks along with executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer and the show’s creative team.
No original cast members are currently attached.
CSI was a long-running hit for CBS, and Nine in Australia, from 2000 to 2015.
The original cast consisted of William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Gary Dourdan, Jorja Fox, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, and Eric Szmanda. Laurence Fishburne and Ted Danson also starred in later seasons.
CBS and CBS Television Studios are yet to comment.

Yes please! I loved CSI!
Please do this but with an all new cast, no need to bring back the original stars, make it something new and may go beyond a limited series.
I thought CSI and related spin-off shows were good, but they were not an accurate reflection of crime investigations as some of the technology used in the show was not real and lifelike. I preferred shows like The Bill for a more accurate representation of crime investigation.
Well why not …. at least a TV movie …. there is worse things that could come back
A lot of people like the show and the characters are interesting, so I think a revival might work well. It’s more fantasy fiction when it comes to crime investigation. It might have been the intention for the show to be fantasy fiction, I don’t know, but it’s different to the crime investigation shows that are based on real-life research of forensics and crime investigation.
