Disney+ has order a series adaptation of its 1989 buddy cop flick, Turner & Hooch.
The film starred a young Tom Hanks as U.S. Marshal Scott Turner and his slobbering French mastiff, Beasley the Dog.
Josh Peck (Drake & Josh, Grandfathered, Ice Age) has now been cast in the Hanks role. Like the movie, the series revolves around a U.S. marshal who inherits a big unruly dog, and soon realises the pet he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.
The series from Matt Nix (Burn Notice) has a 12 episode order.
This is not the first attempt to mount a Turner & Hooch series. A 1990 half-hour pilot, produced by Touchstone TV and starring Thomas F. Wilson and Beasley the Dog reprising his role, did not go to series.

No. No. No. Only just got over the trauma of the film.
