Another UK drama flop for Seven. Gold Digger fourth in its slot. Karl not making much impression on Today.
The disappearance of Leah on Home and Away has been handled so weirdly. The latest is her website is back up and running and it’s taken two characters investigating to work this out. Not sure why the show is always anti police in its storyline’s. They are always painted as stupid and slow.
Well played by Shonee last night. Now on the subject of Shonee does anyone else think that we should start a crowd fund to buy her a new dress. Its a nice dress, but she wore it all through her original series and now this one….comments appreciated
Apparently it’s similar to last time but not the same. She obviously has a “style”.
MKR ratings derailed by the Great Australian Rail Trip
Sadly last week was:
Great Australian Railway Journeys SBS Network 404,000
17 My Kitchen Rules: The Rivals – Tue Seven Network 402,000
Yet this week MKR up to 455,000 & Aussie Rail down to 376,000
Poida was referring to The Great Australian Rail Trip and not Great Australian Railway Journeys. The former was on ABC and got 477,000. Great Australian Railway Journeys is on SBS.
Oops thanks Sunny, I find it annoying that ABC has chosen now to air Griff’s Rail Show at the same time as SBS’s Great Australian Railways Journey?!? Talk about splitting an audience, a very commercial station thing to do!?
Not split, they are different timeslots.
Yep and last week the 7:30pm SBS one beat MKR by 2,000, so basically you have that again coming close and possibly people switching to the ABC one at 8:30pm.
If MKR wasn’t filmed ahead then we’d probably get a MKR two “2 night spectacular” where the contestants have to cook for people catching the Indian Pacific Train from Sydney to Perth one team to the Cook Nullabor stop where they swap (the slightly shorter distance Cook to Perth going to the Team leading so far).
God don’t give them ideas!! I’ve been on the Indian Pacific and the food is truly world class. We don’t need amateur chefs messing with it and the quality of the journey tainted by a brand like MKR. But I think you would find that Adelaide is the ‘halfway’ stop if they were to follow your idea ?
Masterchef has done a few train challenges.
They did a Melbourne Restaurant Tram one as well by memory.
I’ve done the trip myself and did a check before posting as they stopped at both on mine:
Sydney to Adelaide is 1,375 km.
Adelaide to Perth is 2,692 km.
……………………………………………
Sydney to Cook Nullabor is 2,430km.
Cook Nullabor to Perth is 1,688km.
So went with the one with the least difference (1st = 1,317 vs 2nd = 742), there’s a 51km difference between those two totals though with that all being on the 2nd one.
Thanks very much David.
Hello David ,what does the / mean for the ABC News ratings , please explain.
Yes sure…. it’s on both ABC and ABC News channels, so the numbers are separated.
Ok thanks ,much obliged.
The Project I have noticed seems to be higher slightly? I recall high 2s and high 3s last year for the two halves. Perhaps the removal of a game show with news and AS either side have helped. Really happy to see 10 improve across all its evening offerings. I personally do not watch much on 7 (basically David’s recommendations and a few other things that pop up during the year) so happy to see 9 lead the ratings (don’t understand the appeal of MAFS but good that 7 no longer dominates with MKR…7 definitely need a new show here) with 10 coming in behind. Do miss HYBPA? predict not back until May?
Yeah pretty much The Project drew 378,000/224,000 last year but the News was higher 382,000 in the first hour and Pointless was 183,000, I’m A Celeb was on this time last year as well 536,000.

Yikes! So the MKR audience has virtually halved year on year

Thank you for the link. I did have a bit of a look…wow! The Project has lifted – good on them. Definitely many changes to where the networks sit in that peak 7.30pm!
Is there any indication if Celebrity Name Game is returning with new episodes to 10 Bold or 10?
There are no plans to record new episodes. It should run out on 10 BOLD.
Thanks very much David.
Does this mean the extra 30 mins of news experiment is working well fro Ten?
It is rating ahead of where CNG was sitting, and I suspect without the same costs.
