The Conners to stage Live episode

In a US election year, TV's working class family will react to a night of politics.

The Conners will stage a Live to air episode in the US today.

During the Oscars they appeared in a Live commercial to plug the event.

The Conners will stage two live performances for the East and West Coasts on the night of the ‘New Hampshire’ primary in the race for a Democratic candidate.

“We thought, it’s an election year and The Conners — whether we want to be or not, we are immersed in some politics; the politics that affect every working class family, that they are going through and affected by,” executive producer Bruce Helford said.

Deadline reports the Live episode will find Mark (Ames McNamara) watching the results of the primary for a school report with Harris (Emma Kenney), who is disillusioned by the electoral process and believes money’s influence in politics means real change is impossible.

All of this happens against the backdrop of romance when Louise (guest star Katey Sagal) gets an opportunity that might send her away from Lanford, prompting the family to interfere in Dan’s (John Goodman) complicated relationship with her by throwing Louise a surprise going-away party, creating major new tensions between Dan and his daughters.

US Television has recently screened Live episodes of All in the Family, The Jeffersons, and musicals including The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Grease, Hairspray and Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Conners airs in Australia on 10 Peach.

      1. It was ok. I wasn’t caught up on the storylines thou. I actually double checked the votes on a website to make sure Mark was giving the correct results. They also wanted to get the message out for people to actually vote. All the Americans I have spoken to here, I have not come across one who is for Trump, they are all against. To be fair been to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and of to California in a few days.
