Airdate: Homefest: James Corden’s Late Late Show Special

James Corden's special from his garage, taking place in the US today, screens Sunday night on 10.

10 has scheduled a Homefest: James Corden’s Late Late Show Special this Sunday night, bumping a planned Montreal Comedy Festival special to Monday.

Corden’s virtual concert, all staged in his garage, will beam in BTS from South Korea, Andrea Bocelli from Italy, Dua Lipa from London, and Billie Eilish with Finneas and John Legend from Los Angeles.

The self-isolation event is taking place today in the US. Homefest will also raise money for US charity organisations including the CDC Foundation and Feeding America. But Corden is encouraging viewers to contribute funds to any organisation if they’re able.

“We built a tiny sort of set in my garage and my wife powdered my nose,” Corden told Variety. “We have a locked-off camera and my laptop. I’m completely on my own in there.”

Beaming out of his garage, dressed in what we’re hoping will be his trackies, James will be chatting to some of the biggest names in music and entertainment. Old mates Will Ferrell, David Blaine and plenty others will join the action and dish out the LOLs, all from the safety of their homes.

We’ll even be treated to a few little musical performances. Nothing big, really. Just international boy band BTS in South Korea, Andrea-freakin’-Bocelli in Italy, the chart-topping Dua Lipa in London, “most famous teen on the planet” Billie Eilish with FINNEAS, and John “the legend” Legend in Los Angeles.

And in the spirit of bringing us all together – by keeping us apart – the Homefest special will encourage viewers to follow recommendations and keep themselves safe.

8:30pm Sunday on 10.
