Gee, are they sure they can find the space?

Many women embrace the feminist concept at a very young age, while others discover it later in life. Of course there are some who never feel comfortable with the ‘F’ word.

If feminism is simply about equality, why is it still divisive? Has feminism had its day, or do we need another word?

Join host Libbi Gorr along with panellists Virginia Trioli, Nadine Garner, Indira Naidoo, Geraldine Hickey and Vika Bull, as they share what feminism means to them, and if it’s still relevant in their lives.

  1. The show will first be broadcast on ABC Radio on March 6 at 10am (except Victoria and ACT) and March 8 (Victoria and ACT) at 11am if you can’t wait.

  2. I think people over use the ‘F’ word. Many movies and TV shows are ruined by its use. I really don’t understand the fascination with many of the ‘bad’ swearing words so crudely all the time. I think it cheapens everything no matter the conversation. A sudden extreme of pain tolerance maybe the only reason as a quick reaction often can blurt out a swear word. Males mostly swore in decades gone by and females kept a respective vale about themselves. Some females who seemingly look for ‘male equality’ now sound rude and brash to ‘fit in’ rather than a female with at least some decorum and self repsect. I think males and females were born to be different in many ways for many reasons. I know Mark Twain said “When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear.” But I doubt the worst words used today were around or used in his time. Just my opinion. Times have certainly changed.

  3. Thank goodness there is TV Tonight…or we would never know about gems like this…
Thank you, David Knox…As always, the place to go to be in the know.
