New Bluey episodes draw massive numbers

Ratings: 458,000 for Bluey on ABC KIDS. Today & News Breakfast rise. Australian Survivor hits a high.

And they say kids don’t watch TV anymore….

In a time of crisis Bluey has emerged as a hero for families, with new episodes drawing a whopping 458,000 on ABC KIDS. That was more than the high profile documentary Revelation amongst others…

Once again News drew big audiences. Seven News was #1 at 1.15m / 1.06m, ahead of Nine News at 997,000 / 983,000.

At Breakfast time Today had its best numbers in two years at 246,000 while News Breakfast broke another record of 238,000 (171,000 , 67,000). Sunrise still won at 287,000.

Married at First Sight 1.07m won at 7:30pm followed by 7:30 (823,000), Australian Survivor (728,000 a season high), Foreign Correspondent (597,000), My Kitchen Rules (468,000).

Later a Nine News COVID-19 special was 637,000 then Revelation (456,000), The Latest (369,000), NCIS (258,000) and Insight (228,000).

Nine network won Tuesday with 30.5% then Seven 23.9%, ABC 19.8%, 10 17.5% and SBS 8.4%.

Elsewhere, Nine shows were A Current Affair (850,000) and Hot Seat (464,000 / 305,000)

On Seven it was Home and Away (606,000) and The Chase (587,000 / 372,000).

ABC News won its slot with 880,000 for ABC. The Drum  drew 228,000.

The Project was 512,000 / 338,000 for 10 then 10 News First (511,000 / 302,000).

On SBS it was Great Alaskan Railroad Journeys (272,000),  SBS World News (156,000), Dateline (138,000), Mastermind (95,000) and The Feed (59,000).

    1. It’s been reported in the US as a current top 10 streamed film-also the 25th anniversary of the cinema release of ‘Outbreak…god times, good times.

  1. Awesome. We were all sitting on the couch at 8am yesterday and loved it.
    On a side note (thanks to David’s info on the four extra episodes)…the kids have watched one episode at least five times already this morning nearly missing today’s 8am episode!!

    And yes Happychappy a great idea ?

  2. Congrats to Bluey- well deserved. The government should make Bluey and her family spokespeople (or spokesanimals) for washing ours hands and other campaigns etc during these times….
