ABC News presenter Paul Higgins was upstaged yesterday during his daily weather segment when vision of Katy Perry performing at the T20 Women’s World Cup appeared instead of his usual map.
Higgins took it all in his stride, much to the amusement of presenter Tamara Oudyn.
The problem is understood to be a result of Automation and Robotic Cameras, with the camera deciding to take a holiday around the studio at the end…

Haha.. I watched it as it happened, and give full marks to Paul for adding some humour into the situation. I have never heard dancing mentioned so frequently in a weather forecast! A true professional.
