Will we have to pay to view it or is it ‘free to air’?
One wonders where all this extra advertising monies will come from considering it’s a shrinking market.
9Rush loosely translates from German to ‘No Rush’.
Maybe it’s going to be a slow TV channel?
So according to you, we have “No Go!” (9Go!), “No Gem” (9Gem) and “No Life” (9Life). I think we are going to see a lot of jokes for 9Rush, which as you said loosely translates as “No Rush”.
Personally, I don’t think it will be a slow TV channel.
… and 9 News would then be “No News”. But then as the saying goes, no news is good news.
Maybe it’s a channel that will never show Pirates of the Carribbean or Mystery Men?
Would this replace 9Go, or be a new channel?
“There are reports today Nine is planning to launch a new digital television channel featuring programs owned by Discovery Inc.” Which part of this did you not understand?
Foxtel also announced six ‘new’ channels in November and December last year, but they all replaced existing channels. So new does not necessarily mean in addition to existing channels. Would be disappointed if it replaced 9GemHD (given the amount of sports on it) which is what replaced Your Money.
It’ll probably take the space that YourMoney took.
So it looks like a HD channel, as 95 is currently broadcasting in HD.
