Report: Rush channel coming to Nine

Nine is reportedly in advanced discussions with Discovery for a channel to be named Rush.

There are reports today Nine is planning to launch a new digital television channel featuring programs owned by Discovery Inc.

Nine is reportedly in advanced discussions with Discovery about a new channel expected to be branded Rush, which has also been registered as a trademark..

Foxtel recently announced a new multi-year agreement with Discovery, adding Investigation Discover channel to Discovery Channel, TLC, Discovery Turbo, Animal Planet.

A spokesperson for Nine declined to comment.

    1. So according to you, we have “No Go!” (9Go!), “No Gem” (9Gem) and “No Life” (9Life). I think we are going to see a lot of jokes for 9Rush, which as you said loosely translates as “No Rush”.

      Personally, I don’t think it will be a slow TV channel.

      1. Foxtel also announced six ‘new’ channels in November and December last year, but they all replaced existing channels. So new does not necessarily mean in addition to existing channels. Would be disappointed if it replaced 9GemHD (given the amount of sports on it) which is what replaced Your Money.
