Season 2 of Welsh crime Hidden comes to Stan next week.

The series stars Sian Reese-Williams and Sion Alun Davies as detectives. Season 2 will dive deep into the investigation of a murder and the connection of the three suspects along with the mischievous past of the victim.

The 6 part series screened internationally in November.

In the second season of this nail biting crime series, DCI Cadi John (Sian Reese-Williams) and DS Owen Vaughan (Sion Alun Davies) are once again called into action after receiving an anonymous tip off that leads to the discovery of a decaying corpse. Racing against the clock to uncover the identity of the murderer, the two detectives are led into the shadows as they tackle the dangerous mountains of Blaenau Ffestiniog to find the answer to the mystery.

Friday March 27 on Stan.

  1. I watched ‘Hidden’ season 1 recently and found the show to be well made though a bit dour.
    It’s interesting that his type of detective genre is becoming quite commonplace now, using a production style originally developed for ‘The Bridge’ and later Nordic noir productions, including drone overhead shots, which can be breathtaking.
    In my opinion, Hidden season 1 could have benefited from having just 6 episodes, 8 episodes was just a bit too long.

  2. Perhaps I’m “splitting hairs” but the Welsh language version, called Craith was broadcast in Nov/Dec 2019 on S4C, however, the (mostly) English language version; Hidden, is currently being broadcast on BBC4, with the final episode to broadcast tomorrow (Saturday) night UK time.
