Last night SBS World News was the itself the lead story in its own bulletin.

“Tonight we bring you this special bulletin of SBS World News from Canberra following a confirmed case of COVID-19 in our Sydney newsroom,” said Brett Mason.

“We are pleased to say our friend and colleague is receiving treatment and is in good spirits. In line with government advice and SBS protocols tonight our newsroom is closed, but the show must go on, and like so many other Australians we’re doing our best to adapt in these challenging and unprecedented times.”

Yesterday SBS indicated the newsroom was having a sanitisation and is expected to reopen today. Immediate close contacts have already been identified and are self-isolating.

Meanwhile The Feed proved extremely nimble with presenters Marc Fennell and Alice Matthews presented from their own homes.
