Actor Saskia Post, best known for Dogs in Space has died, aged 59.
She died on Monday in hospital in Melbourne from complications due to a congenital heart issue.
On 1986 cult feature Dogs In Space, directed by Richard Lowenstein, she starred alongside Michael Hutchence.
Other film credits included Bliss, Proof, One Night Stand, True Love & Chaos.
Her first role was on The Sullivans as a Dutch refugee. Other TV credits included Sons and Daughters, Return to Eden, A Country Practice, City Homicide, All Together Now, Melba, Introducing Gary Petty and Ocean Girl.

Rest in Peace Saskia, many thanks for your talent and memories.
In The Sullivans she played Julianna, who initially pretended to be a teen aged Carla (Kylie Minuges character), although she was older. She was adopted by Norm and Maggie and became a regular in the last years of the show.
So sad ? Dogs In Space is one of my favourite films, and I remember Saskia well. Rest In Peace ?️
