2018 UK legal comedy Defending the Guilty begins on ABC Comedy tonight.
The series was created by Kieron Quirke (Roommates, Cuckoo) and based on the 2010 best-selling memoir by criminal barrister Alex McBride.
The cast includes Hugh Coles, Will Sharpe, Katherine Parkinson, Gwyneth Keyworth, Prasanna Puwanarajah.
The series has been commissioned for a second season.
Will is a pupil barrister. His boss doesn’t respect him, his clients are all guilty and he is fighting for his job. He is starting to wonder if he has got what it takes.

I enjoyed this series very much. The dialogue is snarky and black, and the stories true to life. Really worth your time.
