Comedian Rob Riggle, who is due to feature in Holey Moley for Seven, features in his own series Rob Riggle: Global Investigator on Discovery in May.
The series sees him travelling the globe to unearth some of the greatest legends and mysteries of all time.
Rob Riggle (Saturday Night Live, Step Brothers, The Hangover) developed an explorer’s spirit at an early age, captivated by incredible myths and legends from far off places he could only imagine. Now, he’s using his self-proclaimed “extensive knowledge of everything” to explore a mystifying legend that takes him on an epic adventure around the world each week. In his quest for answers to humanity’s biggest questions, Rob teams up with experts and scholars who help him use history, archaeology, science and more to uncover the truth. He also invites people who don’t think he’s up to the challenge to accompany him, eventually proving them wrong. Relying on his mental toughness and self-taught high-performance karate, Rob takes on some of the biggest challenges and most daring adventures he’s ever faced.
In Rob Riggle: Global Investigator, the actor’s adventures take him near and far – from travelling to Scotland in search of The Holy Grail to diving in Greece for the lost city of Atlantis and jetting off to Key West, Florida to look for a pirate’s hidden treasure. Fearless in the pursuit of adventure, Rob puts new skills to the test, samples new delicacies and meets new people as he travels the globe investigating one epic mystery at a time.
Rob Riggle: Global Investigator airs during Mystery Month on Discovery Channel which starts 1 May and features titles that are dedicated to unmasking the truth behind some of the world’s most enduring mysteries. The line-up includes Legends of the Wild which follows Australian wilderness experts Damian Duffy and Matt Hoffman as they investigate mysteries of the natural world; new documentary The Hunt: In Search of Australia’s Big Cats in which veteran Aussie researchers Simon Townsend and John Turner are out to prove a big cat population exists in the Australian bush; The Curse of the Bermuda Triangle which joins a team of savvy boat captains and experienced divers out to unravel of the biggest secrets surrounding the notorious Bermuda Triangle, and more.
