Lockdown delays new VOZ ratings

With restrictions on home access, OzTAM & partners have had to push back a plan for the new "Total TV" ratings.

The launch of the new VOZ Total TV ratings has been delayed doe to the current COVID-19 restrictions.

The “Total TV” data, which brings together broadcast viewing on TV sets (OzTAM and Regional TAM TV ratings) and connected devices (OzTAM’s VPM Report), was due to begin in late April but there are now limits to access to homes for maintaining, installing and removing TV metering equipment.

“OzTAM, Regional TAM and Nielsen continue to trial and interrogate the new VOZ Total TV database, and are working with broadcasters, agencies and software providers to integrate VOZ into their systems,” OzTAM said in a statement.

“We’re excited to introduce VOZ data to the market when the time is right. In the current climate however, focusing on the core TV and BVOD currencies is the right thing to do for panel household members, our teams, clients and everyone who depends on our data. We thank our data subscribers for their continued support and wish everyone health and safety in this uncertain time.”
