Reminder: Good Friday Appeal

It's a very different event this year, as Seven celebrates the work of a Melbourne institution.

This is a republished post for tonight’s Good Friday Appeal special:

The annual Good Friday Appeal is the latest show to be impacted by COVID-19 measures but will still have a primetime presence as a one hour special.

This is to acknowledge fundraising which takes place year round, and the work of the hospital staff, specialists, doctors and nurses deliver day in and day out- 365 days of the year – for 150 years.

To be hosted by Peter Mitchell and Jane Bunn, it will profile patients and their families, and meet the face of the appeal, Quinnie, and hear from her parents.

HSV7 general manager Lewis Martin said: “Like Easter eggs and hot cross buns – the Good Friday Appeal unites us all. It is a part of everyone’s Easter. We are here for the kids and everyone for whom the Appeal holds a special place in their heart. Also, we wanted to recognise the incredible effort and work delivered by a tireless team at the RCH., and applaud those who help and care for us, in particular at a time such as we are all living through right now.”

Planning for the Good Friday Appeal 2021 is already underway.
