Spicks & Specks: ’00’s Special

Adam, Myf and Alan return for a special on the music of the 2000s.

A new Spicks & Specks special will screen on ABC after Easter, which focusses on music of the 2000s.

This is the second of three ‘decades’ specials that were filmed last year (Hence Adam Hills’ Brexit beard).

Panelists included Ella Hooper, Nic Cester from Jet and comedians Joel Creasy and Sarah Kendall. Also appearing are Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney and a performance by Thirsty Merc.

It’s on for young and old when Australia’s favourite music quiz show, Spicks and Specks returns to delve into the music of the 2000s. It was the decade that brought us a huge variety of new music and introduced a number of rising stars including; Guy Sebastian, Lady Gaga, Kayne West and the Black Eyed Peas. While music legends including U2, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen continued to rock on.

Adam, Myf and Alan are joined by Killing Heidi’s lead singer Ella Hooper, Nic Cester from Jet and comedians Joel Creasy and Sarah Kendall to celebrate the decade that brought sexy back and a crazy frog made it into the charts.

Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney team up on a cross trainer to take part in the game Fitness on Shuffle, while some dated Nokia mobiles are used in Look What They’ve Done To My Song Ma. The teams take on the tricky new game Tube Styling where they try to guess a film clip posted on Youtube from reading the posted comments. When Nic and Joel take on singing for Substitute, Joel gets some special help and Thirsty Merc perform a massive hit from the 2000s.

7:40pm Sunday April 19 on ABC.
