You Can’t Ask That: Apr 29

ABC hears from people living in public housing accommodation.

This week You Can’t Ask That hears from people living in public housing accommodation.

More than 640,000 Australians currently live in public housing. The waitlist can be up to ten years. People living in public housing are more likely to be 65 or older, with a disability, and a high proportion have experienced domestic violence or homelessness.

In this episode of You Can’t Ask That, we speak to eight Australian’s who live in public housing to ask them the tough questions such as “Why do you get a house for doing nothing?”, and “Where would you be living if you didn’t have this place?”

9pm Wednesday on ABC.

    2. While this is a welcome burst of nostalgia, I think it’s the ‘Consuming Passions’ guy who’s got a pretty sweet pseudo-govt gig atm. (IIRC his events company is responsible for “G’day USA”)
