SBS will screen The Clinton Affair, a 6 part series which examines the biggest political scandal of a generation and its lasting impact on the United States.
Produced to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the impeachment proceedings of President Bill Clinton in 2018, the documentary from producer Alex Gibney and director Blair Foster, chronicles the events leading up to the impeachment trial and explores the role of media, feminism and politics in a story of sex, power, lies, and ideological warfare.
The documentary series traces the series of events that led to the impeachment trial that set the nation on the path towards a more staunchly partisan political system. It features archival footage as well as comprehensive interviews with the people closest to the events, including Monica Lewinsky.
