Bumper re-start for NRL

“Footy is back on and it is a great result for sports fans," says FOX Sports.

FOX Sports is hailing the return of NRL after bumper figures on Subscription TV.

OzTAM reports a national figure of 355,000 for the Parramatta Eel’s 34-6 victory over the Brisbane Broncos.

FOX Sports cites an average figure of 401,000 viewers (including Foxtel Now and Foxtel Go, but not Kayo Sports), as the most watched regular season simulcast game ever and the number one game of the 2020 season.

Head of FOX Sports Peter Campbell said: “Footy is back on and it is a great result for sports fans and our customers who have been missing live sport and have re-connected and watched the NRL in record numbers.”

“It augurs well for the weekend with FOX League on Foxtel, Foxtel Now, Foxtel GO and Kayo Sports, the only place to see every game of the NRL, Live and ad-break free.”

  1. Great job by the leaders of the NRL and the various parties that have come to the party to make it all happen. It amazing what some vision, a plan and the ability to constructively work through road blocks can achieve. I wonder what pirate pete will have to say about this. Actually, no I don’t.

  2. So glad the NRL is back.!! Very happy to hear massive Ratings for Foxtel/Fox Sports and smashing the All Time Record.. I absolutely watched it all and always watch every game.
Great job NRL and the Ratings were brilliant, breaking the Record Books, well done!!
NRL will Always be the Best, The Greatest Game Of All..!!!!

    1. No it’s because they are taking extra precautions and reducing travel. Next year when it’s all completely better they will bring them all back..

        1. Yeah only who’s deemed essential. Also because it provides it in real time, live action means better coverage.! So only essential personnel.
