iview adds user accounts
Signing up gets you extra iview features, but isn't essential for viewing episodes.

ABC iview has added optional accounts to its platform which will offer extra features.
But an account isn’t essential to view episodes.
An ABC-wide login allows viewers to continue watching shows across different devices in addition to creating and managing your own Watchlist. There is also Recently Viewed and a small icon displaying the minutes of viewing time remaining on a program.
It is available on the website and mobile apps (ABC iview 4.10+ for iOS and 4.8+ for Android users) and now on Apple TV and Android TV.
9Now, 10 Play and SBS on Demand all require a free account for viewing episodes.
More info is here.

I cast iview to an older TV smart using Chromcast . ( If that is what you mean ?)
Can iview cast to a TV?
Hasn’t this been there for a while? I’ve been using one since last December?
I believe now extended across other devices such as Apple TV.
Yeah, the other day I had to use an activation code on my AppleTV for the first time ever with it.
