MasterChef dumps Ben Ungermann from opening titles

All eliminated Masterchef contestants remain in 10's opening titles -except one.

MasterChef Australia has dropped Ben Ungermann from its opening title sequence, despite all previously-eliminated contestants remaining.

Ungermann formally exited the series in Sunday’s edition when judge Jock Zonfrillo told contestants “Due to a personal matter, Ben has had to leave the competition, and he will not be returning.”

He was last seen in the opening titles on Monday.

Yesterday reports emerged he was charged with two counts of sexual assault, which allegedly took place in Docklands on 23rd February.

By last night Ungermann had been excised from the show, although he is yet to face court, set for June 25.

His lawyer Adam Houda tweeted, “Allegations against my client are vehemently denied and will be defended.”
