MasterChef to confirm Ben’s exit

Out of the next challenge, MasterChef will deal with Ben Ungermann's exit from competition.

MasterChef Australia is expected to confirm the departure of Ben Ungermann tomorrow night, after he was absent on the gantry for a second time.

Viewers were confused by his absence during the Katy Perry visit, only to reappear for the Masterclass episode.

That could well be explained by the episodes being filmed in a different order.

But he is also nowhere to be seen in this group shot for Sunday’s elimination cook-off.

Sources tell TV Tonight his departure will be addressed in the show. But it’s unlikely to share much detail.

‘We can confirm Ben Ungermann has left the MasterChef Australia competition,’ an Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson previously said.

“As this is a police matter, we will not be making further comment.”

It won’t be the first time a reality show contestant has been forced to withdraw from a contest and given Ben’s popularity, is bound to be received with some disappointment.
