Oops. The Chase falls silent as 7 loses audio

"We apologise that the program has no sound on this channel," Seven advises.

More problems for Seven’s playout as The Chase lost its audio feed.

Host Andrew O’Keefe has been left silent as the show us running without any sound on Seven HD.

A crawl on the bottom of the screen advises, “We apologise that the program has no sound on this channel. Please tune to Seven channel 71 to receive audio of this program.”

It isn’t clear how many markets are affected.

Since Seven closed their Broadcast centre in Melbourne there have been ongoing issues with playouts.

Audio resumed just in time for the 6pm news bulletin….

A Seven spokesperson advised, “Tonight’s HD broadcast of The Chase experienced a technical issue which impacted its audio. On screen graphics advised viewers to change to the SD broadcast, which was unaffected.”

  1. We’ll find out if the CC carried it through when we watch the episode in a few days.
No point waiting for it on Netflix, eh Mr K?

  2. anyone else noticed – every night as the 7 news opener is rolling there is a jump frame about 5 seconds in? Been happening since they moved out of the Broadcast Center.

Happens in Sydney at least – every night.

  3. The worst thing when this happens is getting a terrible fright because you turn the volume up trying to get sound and the sound comes back on again unexpectedly.
