US medical drama The Resident has been renewed for a fourth season.
The show has been averaging just under 6 million viewers for FOX, which renewed it along with Last Man Standing.
“The Resident and Last Man Standing are such important parts of FOX, and we’re so pleased they will be returning next season,” said FOX president of entertainment Michael Thorn. “We want to thank all of the writers, actors, directors, producers and talented crews for both of these shows, and, of course, our friends and producing partners at 20th Century FOX Television.”
The series, which stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal & Emily VanCamp, screens in Australia on Seven.

I really enjoy this show and wish ch7 wouldn’t stuff around with it.
I really enjoy The Resident but sometimes the way Matt kinda whispers when he talks annoys me.
A lot of actors, not just American, do this in recent years. I guess directors let them.
fun fact: Matt Czuchry is 43 years old, could pass as 23.
I remember him as a youngster on Gilmore Girls.
Great news about The Resident. Has such a strong cast and one of my favourite shows at the moment even if Seven has it so late in the evening.
