Renewed: Trying

Apple TV+ UK comedy Trying has been renewed for a second season, just a week after its debut.

Star Rafe Spall revealed, “We’re hoping to do it at the end of the summer / fall period. With a bit of luck, we might get there. I’d go on set tomorrow if I were allowed.”

Spall stars alongside Esther Smith as a couple of 30-something Londoners who try for adoption after realising they’re unable to have children themselves.

Smith confirmed the recommission, but noting the shooting schedule will be affected by lockdown.

“We’ve been commissioned for a second series, which I’m really thrilled about,” she said. “We should be starting in the summer, but who knows what the world’s going to be looking like.

“I just want to do it all over again, I could just keep doing it – there’s so much scope,” she added.
