Aiming for the same audience as 7Mate, 9Rush just hasn’t got the same balance of programming (yet?). Both say they are aimed at men, but 7Mate has a lot of shows that are really universally appealing, whereas Rush really does hammer home the male-style shows.
As long as that 1% did not came from one of their own channels.Nines new channel hasn’t helped them much lucky to get more then 1%.Its more like quantity of quality with the repeats and secondary rate stuff on some of the secondary channels
Yep and if you look at this time last year Bold did 3.5% and Peach did 2.4% so basically they have the same rusted in audience more than likely, though interestingly NCIS or any Bold show doesn’t appear in the Secondary Channel Ratings last year (and yet it’s the same). Masterchef is the big gain for 10 with being up 327,000 on last year, so yep 10 should tread carefully lest they take from the other secondaries, can’t really compare 9’s secondaries as the ICC World Cup was on GEM last year so gave them a boost.

NRL on Nine – 615k metro, 303k Reg, 918k Total
– highest metro rating for a H&A match since R1, 2016 (674k)
– highest rating FTA rating since R11, 2016 (964k)
– first H&A game to rate 900+on FTA since R3, 2017
Hi craigo – just wondering where you get the regional figures? I’m new to the site and I’m interested in the collection of data as I teach Maths and Science as part of statistics. Especially when I can only see the top 20 programs.
Nine press release or try NRL site.
Go to the nrl site. There’s a great article giving a good break down of the total viewing figures.
Still not enough to get into the top 10 – you would expect that the first sports broadcast after the break would get more viewers – how was Melbourne?
That’s because of Nine coding, which separates multichannels, and something I have raised with them. See more info under News.
Strange as it could lift a program of theirs higher – 7 always put them in.
Clipper you must be super triggered at the great success of the NRL.

Well said Craigo. They are great figures but our old friend can only ever see the downside with the nrl!
Nine will be feeling better about that deal now that NRL second in 16-39 demo nationally and only airing in 2 states.. And the most watched show in Sydney and Beisbane, and thats not adding the Foxtel numbers.
