AFL scores on a dismally quiet Thursday
Ratings: Seven dominated on a very quiet night. The Chase led in entertainment.

Outside of news and AFL viewers were not drawn to much on offer last night.
Seven’s AFL drew 624,000 viewers across its network and topped the demos. Nine’s NRL managed 301,000 / 25,000.
The Chase was the highest rating entertainment show at 633,000 / 388,000 followed by Home and Away 530,000.
7:30 (525,000), Celebrity Gogglebox USA (373,000), Territory Cops (220,000 / 218,000 in 3 cities), World’s Busiest Stations (207,000) and The Heights (204,000)
Seven network won Thursday with 34.6% then Nine 24.3%, 10 17.2%, ABC 15.3% and SBS 8.7%.
Seven News was #1 with 1.09m / 1.01m for Seven. A Harry Potter movie was 169,000 in 3 cities.
Nine News (926,000 / 875,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair drew 599,000 then Hot Seat 503,000 / 292,000. Serial Killer with Piers Morgan managed 116,000 in 3 cities.
The Project drew 499,000 / 343,000 for 10. 10 News First was 372,000 / 253,000. Law and Order: SVU returned to just 185,000 / 175,000.
ABC News won its slot with 763,000. Sammy J (339,000), Escape from the City (319,000), The Drum (209,000) and Father Brown (206,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (169,000), Tsunamis: Facing A Global Threat and
NCIS led multichannels at 201,000.
The Morning Show: 140,000 / 88,000
Today Extra: 103,000 / 72,000
Studio 10: 49,000 / 48,000 /

If Seven can get away with winning a night with a repeat of The Chase, what hope do we have of new episodes anytime soon?
Well It doesn’t count towards their overall % share.
I enjoyed World’s Busiest Stations (Penn St and Grand Central). Next week they feature India’s largest station, which will be interesting, and they also feature Flinders Street in an upcoming episode if anyone is interested.

I'm not sure what metric they are using, but the program features Howrah Station in Kolkata.

Nine are paying Karl Stefanovic a lot of money for very little return on investment. Today is looking increasingly like it will finish the year 3rd in breakfast and ACA’s ratings this week with him in the chair have been well below average.
