10s successful years was when they started primetime shows at 7pm. I still say they need to do that 7 days a week. Have Masterchef, etc start at 7 not 7.30. At 8.30pm most people migrate to streaming or the internet. Capture the audience early and treat each the same. Have the news at 5pm and the Project following at 6am, 7 days a week. People have habits. Nine are doing a Sat version of ACA now.
If i may be a programmer for a minute. I suggest next year, 10 moves masterclass back to Fridays, then when the living room needs to return and gogglebox has finished you can use it on Thursday’s.
Under 7% is sad, but i get there is not much for them during Covid, but even The Living room could only add a couple % to that line up.
The same with Saturdays, the dog show started well bye it’s sandwiched between encores of low rating shows.
I get being number 1 on Fridays and Saturdays comes at great expense to 7 and or 9, as sport isn’t cheap but if 10’s going to keep attempting to launch shows on Saturday’s, at least give them a buffer either side.
Any ideas on how the final show of The Daily Edition rated by any chance (please?)
