Rudi Vanderstone’s Steaming Brown Logies: 2020
Just who copped the The Steaming Brown Logie from "Sydney's meanest TV critic?"

It would have been Logies weekend on the Gold Coast this weekend, but alas not only has COVID put an end to that…Â the border still isn’t even open.
Over the years there have been a few rivals to the Logies, notably the Fugly Awards and The Bogie Awards.
But “Sydney’s meanest TV reviewer Rudi Vanderstone” (Triple M’s Lawrence Mooney) took it upon himself to hand out his best worst awards this morning before anybody could throw a cease and desist on using the L word.
After offending Studio 10 yesterday he unleashed once more with a faux brown carpet and more Rudi bombs you can hear here.
Losers are in bold…. (some may have been given to those who made themselves available for acceptance speeches… hard to say!).
The Steaming Brown Logie
For the worst talent on Australian Television for 2020.
Peter Helliar
Tracy Grimshaw
David Koch
Tommy Little
Waleed Aly

Costa Georgiadis
The Newest Nugget
This is the best new talent that has caused the most pain to the viewers sensory system. It’s hard to make a list of nominees because nothing is new in the sewer of Australian television.
Joe Hildebrand with a disclaimer, “He’s not new and he’s not talented, but he’s won the Brown Logie anyway!”

I love Lawrence Mooney. His impersonations of Malcolm Turnbull are hysterical. He was on Today Extra too. They weren’t happy Tracy was on the list.
What a waste of oxygen!
And the winner for the most vulgar and unfunny comedian is …………
In my very first post in 2007 I wrote “TV criticism is sometimes way too serious….”
It really is nasty to have Costa win as the worst talent on television. He is nowhere near worst anything. There are so many “worst” candidates, not even on that list.
In truth he wasn’t even on the original list, but as I noted, doing an acceptance speech on air I think he took it in jest.
