Seven’s AFL: updated schedule

Carlton and St Kilda will now face off at Marvel Stadium this Thursday night following an amended AFL schedule.

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport Lewis Martin said, “The Blues and Saints head into this round as two of the most exciting sides in the competition. Both are clearly teams on the rise, but Thursday night will be an acid test of just how good they are. Who will stand up on the big stage? Like all footy fans, we can’t wait to find out. And that’s just the start of a cracking round on Seven.”

As the AFL announced on Monday morning, the Carlton-St Kilda clash replaces the West Coast-Richmond match previously scheduled for Thursday night at Metricon Stadium, because of the Queensland Government’s changes to its quarantine requirements for Victorian teams entering the state.

In the other major change to the Round 5 fixture on Seven, the Tigers will now take on Melbourne at 3.00pm AEST on Sunday, in what shapes as a season-defining clash for the struggling reigning premiers and a talented Demons side that also has just one win to its name in 2020.

The round’s marquee Friday Night match-up between Collingwood and Essendon remains unchanged, with fans still able to see the bitter rivals slug it out Live and Free on Seven at 7.00pm AEST.

And Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne remains locked in on Saturday Night Footy on Seven. With both teams making up-and-down starts to 2020, this encounter presents each with a golden opportunity to show their supporters what they’re truly made of.

After Friday night’s Collingwood-Essendon grudge match, Adam Cooney and Cam Luke will settle in on the Armchair Experts sofa, offering viewers their unique take on the big match.

As always, fans in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia will be able to watch every game involving their local AFL teams on Seven.
