The Veronicas, Marcia Hines to guest mentor on The Voice

Boy George & Kelly Rowland unable to return to The Voice due to travel restrictions.

The Voice will reintroduce guest mentors due to COVID-19 steps as it resumes production.

Boy George and Kelly Rowland will appear via video from London and Los Angeles respectively, due to travel restrictions, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The Veronicas will mentor Team George and Marcia Hines will mentor singers for Team Kelly.

Boy George said, “I’ll still be able to enjoy the performances, still give my advice in terms of mentoring. And I’m going to entrust The Veronicas to carry that message. At the end of the day, we’re going to do everything to make it as fun and as entertaining as possible.”

Filming of the Blind Auditions and The Battles has been completed. It’s also not clear if all contestants will be able to physically attend upcoming shoots or entails some remote performances.

Season 1 included guest mentors including Darren Hayes, Benji Madden, Ricki-Lee Coulter and Megan Washington.

  1. hated dancing with the stars when they had no live audience, social distancing and video calling. Just cheapened the show alot and i stopped watching. But with the voice i do like mentors and hosts so that helps.

  2. Now this I have been wondering about. If they’d somehow get Kelly & George back into the country or have to do it via video. I’m glad for the teams they’ll still have someone here for them too. Some great choices in my mind for the mentors too 🙂

    Thanks for this David

  3. This is great news….don’t see nearly enough of Marcia on TV since the demise of Australian Idol and i think an older mentor is a great addition. Can’t say i’m as enthusiastic about The Veronica’s however.
